The review information for the class semester final is under class files, in the Final Review folder.

This week we will begin to look at the basic proportions of faces.  We will create a simple face.  For homework, you will need to bring to class a school portrait sized photo of either you, a family member or a friend.  You will create a pencil portrait from this image.  You will receive 10 points credit if  you bring this photo in by the end of this week (October 21).

 Under "Class Files" there is a document called "The Creative Process".  Read and know this information for the first quiz next week. This quiz will be either Wednesday or Thursday (block days).

It is important that you be prepared to take notes on vocabulary and general concepts in class. The material that is given in lecture will be used in quizzes, discussions and the written final semester given in December.

 Today we will begin a review of artistic perception.  We will use a loose style of drawing called "contour drawing" to create several drawings of your hand and one of your table partners' faces in short periods of time. These will be turned in for credit at the end of today (Friday's class). Be sure your name, class name , and period are on the top right of all papers.

 The Class Syllabus is now available to read for Introduction to Art. You will find this file at the lower right of this window under "Class Files". Print the file out, read it and sign it. Detach the bottom were your signatures are (parent and student) and return the slip to class.  It is due to be collected by the teacher on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in class.   

You will receive 25 points class credit if you turn it in on time.
